A compilation of the history of the Mizell/Mizelle/Mizzell family is presently underway, and will represent the fourth edition of this history book. Family Tree Maker (FTM) software is being used to organize and update the book.
The previous editions were printed in 2002, 2004 and 2006. Distribution of these books occurred through reunions that were held in those years. An update was planned in 2008 for a reunion to be held in Branson, Missouri that year, but the book had grown so lengthy that the FTM software was unable to generate an accurate index of names. Therefore, a book was not published.
New versions of the software have eliminated the problem with the lengthy index. The outline for the next edition indicates that three volumes will likely be published, one for each of the branches (Luke, John and Joseph Henri).
